Spicy Horseradish Mustard

Raye's Mustard

Raye’s Spicy Horseradish packs a horseradish kick so intense it’ll make your eyes water. It’s strong, it’s savory, it’s mustard with a little something extra. The savory aftertaste makes it the perfect companion to beef, ham and cheeses. Or add to Bechamel Sauce for an elegant fish entree. Perfect for any meal that needs a kick.

Spicy Horseradish Mustard

I was first introduced to Ray's mustard when in the 80s & 90s I worked for what was then Bangor Hydro Electric Co. I was required to travel from Bangor to Eastport to test the transformer rated metering. One of the employees gave me a tour of the mill. I was totally amazed at how with one motor and a shaft that stretched the length of the mill that drove all of the vat beaters and just by sliding a drive belt for each vat onto the drive portion of the shift. Rayes Mustard has definitely stuck with their roots. In the store portion of the mill I tried a sample of the Spicy Horseradish and that was the best tasting Mustard I'd ever had. I bought 4 jars that day. I have since moved to Florida and decided to check and see if Ray's Mustard had a website I could order from. They did have a site, but the first couple of times I checked Spicy Horseradish wasn't on the menu. Not being one to give up I Checked their site again a couple of weeks ago and Spicy Horseradish was on the list (please always have Spicy Horseradish available) so I ordered 4 jars and will continue to do so as soon as I open the last jar. If there is a downtime of not making it please send me 4 jars and bill me! If you are ever vacationing in Downeast Maine and you don't make a stop at Ray's Mustard then you are truly missing out. By the way the 4 jars I ordered showed up in a timely manner and very well packaged for the trip. (Because we all know that with shipping companies "fragile" means don't drop from a height over 50 feet) Thank you Ray's Mustard!

Best Mustard Ever made

I’ve tried a lot of different types of mustard and can’t even compare them to Rayes Mustard. Simply the best I have ever had. Won’t eat anything else.
